Brush fire burning near Hollywood Hills homes

A brush fire is threatening homes along the Cahuenga Pass.

The fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. Thursday near Universal City off the 101 Freeway.

TV footage showed firefighters battling the fire, which was burning near some hillside homes. They were being aided by a lack of strong winds.
