Multiple accidents involving at least three big rigs have left the connector road of the westbound 210 Freeway closed at the 134 Freeway split in Pasadena, the California Highway Patrol said.
The road, in which westbound traffic shifts northward, is expected to remain closed until at least 8 a.m., CHP officials said.
The accidents, which the CHP does not believe to be weather-related, were called in around 2:30 a.m. and left the freeway covered in diesel fuel.
At least two of the big rigs jackknifed, CHP officials said, but there were no reported injuries.
