Basketball coach arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a child

A volunteer basketball coach at Perris High School has been arrested on suspicion of committing lewd acts with a child, Riverside County authorities said Tuesday.
Dominic Leon Evans, 49, coached boys and girls at the school, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
He was arrested Monday after authorities served a search warrant at his Perris home. School officials were notified that Evans was in custody.
Evans was being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
