Authorities were searching Monday for a person they said stabbed two would-be robbers in a bathroom at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.
The men were attempting to ‘steal a chain’ from another man in the bathroom when an unknown assailant ‘came up from behind’ and stabbed the two robbers, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jon Klaus.
The men were treated at a hospital and later arrested, Klaus said. The robbery victim was not seriously injured.
The club stayed open after the incident, which occurred about midnight, Klaus said.
The assailant’s connection to the incident was not known; Klaus said it was unclear whether the person knew the victim.
