Reader Mail: Nice remodel, but where did<br> they get that chair, lamp and fridge?

After my profile on the Venice home of Scott and Sharonne Trattner ran last month, I received so many e-mails that I wanted to offer an update here. While I largely focused on how architect Talbot McLanahan helped them transform a 900-square-foot beach cottage into a 1,600-square-foot family home by adding a simple, white-box addition, readers had lots of questions.
First among them: Who was their contractor? Glenn Lyons.
But most queries were about the couple’s contemporary (and often inexpensive) interior decor. Where’d they get those gorgeous dining room chairs? The uniquely shaped antique mirrors? The contemporary curtain rods? One reader even wanted to know the make and model of their refrigerator.

The inexpensive geometric black and white rug in the corridor that connects the two wings is from Ikea.
The pendant lamp hanging over the dining room table is by Danish designer Verner Panton. By special order ($1,250) at Y Lighting.
The couple tore down a bedroom wall and transformed that space into what is now their dramatic dining room. On the wall are antique mirrors from local flea markets. They found the six Mies van der Rohe’s MR tubular steel side chairs from the 1970s at the online auction site 1stdibs.
The wall-mounted track system hardware for the drapes came from the Bradley Collection.
The refrigerator, with white inserts, is from the GE Monogram collection.
