How many times have you made this resolution: this year I will prepare my home for an earthquake.
This four-person, three-day survival kit from Quake Kare takes care of that resolution in one on-sale-now swoop. It comes packaged in a 5-gallon bin with everything you need including food, water, lighting, radio, first-aid, sanitation and shelter supplies. Snap-off toilet seat is extra. It also meets the U.S. Department of Homeland Security recommendations.
Normally $145, the kit is now on sale for $65. Quake Kare also sells two-person kits (reduced from $125 and $179 to $49 and $84) and deluxe versions that contain a solar/hand-crank powered flashlight, radio, flashing LED siren and mobile phone charger with a universal adapter. There are also backpack car kits and fanny-pack office kits.
There is much debate over what an emergency kit should include. To offer your own suggestions, leave your comments below.
