Learn about a new energy-saving roofing system, what’s billed as a green type of memory-foam bedding and other environmentally friendly products for your home at the Oct. 14 sustainable furnishings showcase sponsored by the online directory Greenfolio.com.
The event will highlight the work of local furniture makers and artists who use sustainable materials and practices. They include furniture maker Cliff Spencer, the design studio Caseandgrain, BauWerkgreen (whose bench is pictured above), Topher Paterno (whose seating is pictured at right), Studio 04 LA (whose birdbath and planter is pictured above), Farmhouse Custom Cabinetry and decorative painter Kate Hoffman. Companies will introduce a range of products, such as recycled glass countertops and modular building systems.
The event runs 7 to 10 p.m. at the store Livingreen, 10000 Culver Blvd., Culver City. The event is free, and though the website indicates it’s for the building and design trades, the public is welcome. Registration is required by clicking here.
