Plushpod’s groovy reopening party, sale and contest

Design a house, win a Bubble chair. To celebrate its reopening in a larger showroom on Beverly Boulevard, Plushpod is going all out. The L.A. store, which stocks top modern brands including Magis and Blu Dot, is hosting what it calls a ‘60s Modern James Bond theme party open to the public from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

The bash kicks off a competition to design a dream home and win the hanging orb seat shown here. The contest runs through Oct. 12. In the meantime, you can enter a raffle for a $500 gift certificate at the party. You also can shop, getting 10% to 40% off furniture and accessories store-wide through Sept. 28.
