In honor of the Tim Burton exhibit on display at LACMA until Oct. 31, the museum’s Ray’s & Stark Bar has created a Burton-approved cocktail for museum-goers to sip on before or after visiting the show’s dark yet comedic rooms.
The exhibit features the Burbank native’s drawings, paintings, moving-image works, storyboards and costumes from his horror flick-inspired teenage years to his sources of inspiration for movies such as ‘Batman,’ ‘Batman Returns,’ ‘Beetle Juice’ ‘Mars Attacks!’ and ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas.’
Inspired by the director’s soda of choice, Dr Pepper, the $13 cocktail -- the Dr. Burton -- is made with rum, cherry Heering, Disaronno amaretto and Amaro CioCiaro.
Ray’s & Stark Bar, 5905 Wilshire Blvd., L.A., (323) 857-6180, lacma.org.
