Small bites: BLD deals, Magnolia plans to reopen next week, and Stonehill Tavern’s menu makeover

New menu in Dana Point. Stonehill Tavern has introduced new menu options. Presenting snack and finger foods: cheese fondue, fish and chips, lobster fritters, and pulled pork sliders. New entrées: lobster pot pie, fried chicken with truffle macaroni and cheese, pork short ribs with mashed sweet potatoes, and steaks of different cuts. Or if you can’t decide, they are also featuring a farmer’s market prix-fixe five-course meal for $75 a person. BLD cooks up a deal. Monday through Friday BLD Restaurant is offering a $15 plat du jour. Monday try barbecue beef brisket with garlic mashed potatoes, Tuesday fried chicken with collard greens and corn bread, Thursday tweet-a-dish (see below), and Friday fish tacos with citrus slaw. Magnolia’s on hold. Magnolia Bakery had to temporarily close July 28 because of building department issues raised by the Los Angeles County Health Department.
