Kay ‘n Dave’s is building its fourth restaurant, this one in Culver City near Main Street on Culver Boulevard.

Dave Licht says he needs at least a month more before he’ll be able to open. His restaurants -- in Pacific Palisades, Brentwood and on Pico in West Los Angeles -- serve Mexican food with no lard, no trans fats and fresh ingredients. Entrees range from $7 to $20.

Licht says he wasn’t looking for a new restaurant space but saw an opportunity in the space that had been Pacifico’s. The new Kay ‘n Dave’s will be in hot culinary company: Culver City is home to several popular spots, including Akasha, Ford’s Filling Station and Fraiche.
