New gig for Eater editor: Lesley Balla, who on Friday left her post as editor of Eater L.A., today announced she’ll be editor of Tasting Table L.A., a daily food-themed newsletter that launches Feb. 16.
One reason not to cry in your beer: If you missed Spitz downtown’s grand opening party last Thursday or simply couldn’t bother to wade through the massive line spilling out the door, the meatery will be selling two of its favorite beers, Oskar Blues Old Chub and Dale’s Pale Ale, for $3 each on Inauguration Day. If all goes well, this may become a regular Tuesday night affair at Spitz. 375 E. 2nd St., L.A. (213) 613-0101, www.eatatspitz.com
