Over at the website for the expanding media outlet known as GOOD (which calls itself ‘the integrated media platform for people who want to live well and do good’), Alissa Walker has posted a terrific overview of Reading L.A. She also has some news: Because the next issue of GOOD’s magazine will be focusing on Los Angeles, its book club has decided to tackle Reyner Banham’s ‘Los Angeles: The Architecture of Four Ecologies’ this spring.
Walker is asking GOOD readers to finish the book by early April, which also happens to be the month Reading L.A. will be looking at Banham’s classic. She’s also unearthed video from the BBC’s 1972 program ‘Reyner Banham Loves Los Angeles,’ which is hilarious and telling and well worth watching.
And for anyone who missed the update earlier this week, here’s the latest version of our book list and reading schedule.
