CBS Corp. has named Peter Dunn president of CBS Television Stations, the unit comprised of the network’s 29 local television stations, including KCBS in Los Angeles.

Dunn, who will also remain president of WCBS New York, replaces industry veteran Tom Kane, who had been running the division for four years and had been with CBS since 2003 after spending almost 30 years with ABC, including seven as president and general manager of its flagship station WABC New York.

CBS CEO Leslie Moonves said Dunn ‘knows how to deliver results.’ Moonves also praised Kane’s time at CBS and wished him well as he ‘moves on to the next chapter.’

Dunn also used to run CBS’s station in Philadelphia and before that had stints with NBC and ABC. He will report to Moonves.
