Creative Recreation shoes are a big time favorite among guys who like to look sharp in their street wear and male celebrities who find the dressed-up sneakers versatile enough to pair with a suit or slacks when walking a red carpet.

But for fall, the Los Angeles-based company is turning some attention toward the ladies, launching a women’s collection comprised of eight styles, called Select. The on-trend shoes range from open toe, lace-up boots to a three-in-one boot that goes from ankle, to mid- to knee-length by stacking suede pieces.
The shoe company, which started in 2002, has garnered such a strong men’s following over the years, it was hard to tell whether the breakout into women’s heels would be a welcome addition to what seems an already saturated shoe market. But the result is impressive. The shape of the shoes are sleek, toes aren’t too round or pointy, the heels are sexy and the embellishment is kept to a minimum.
Something to consider this season, when those new Choos seem like they’re going to break the bank.
Select ranges from $200 to $450 and is available at American Rag and Diavolina.
